Growing up in country Victoria, my life was one of observe, make and create.
With a career in Education and Music, creative flight and needle & thread have always given a perfect balance to each day.
My rewarding and fulfilling professional career path has been in Education and Music.
My ‘passion path’ is a studio full of fabrics, threads and notions. A studio which looks out to trees and a colourful courtyard garden …. a place where my trusty sewing machine and I escape to for creative flight!
I think I was born with a needle and thread in my hands and over the years have designed and made many, many garments, soft furnishings and useful things. My path has also included millinery, quilt making, water colours, crafting, felting, lots of embroidery and small treasures ….each skill bringing a new twist to my experience.
So it was in 2013 that I set up my ETSY shop
Threads that inspire
Away from the studio ….Some of my favourite things are fresh flowers from the garden; harvesting lavender in December; freshly picked apricots; a walk down a country lane; Cape Cod and English style Manor houses; making bread and baking; making marmalade and preserves from my organic homegrown fruit; country style.
